However, as far as Helmut Dönnhoff is concerned, the 2015 vintage allowed them create some of the greatest wines that the estate has seen since the heralded 1971 vintage. After tasting through the range, we fully agree. The ability to pick at their leisure in 2015 allowed the Donnhoff family to hand-sort and pick perfectly ripe berries throughout the month of October. The result was a perfect harvest, some of the best fruit they had ever seen at the winery, and the Spätlese Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle, which is a work of art. ✦ Donnhoff Riesling Spatlese Niederhauser Hermannshohle 2015 JG 95+ » $56 "...great focus, seamless balance and truly stunning elegance and refinement... complex and oh, so promising. Another brilliant wine!" (1661042) The s oul F ul a r T o F Wine M aking k onstantin Weiser and Alexandra Künstler didn't come from a family dynasty of winemakers, yet after only a decade of working their biodynamic and hand-tended vines, Weiser-Kunstler has gained a cult following of collectors. For them, making wine is a soulful art, as they personally carry out every step of the process, from the vineyard through the cellar with intense care. The terraced vineyards they farm were renowned over a century ago, and today they breathe new life into these old ungrafted vines. Weiser-Kunstler is an experience you'll never forget. ✦ Weiser-Kunstler Riesling Kabinett e llergrub 2015 $29 (1661047) Weiser-Kunstler Riesling Spatlese e nkircher e llergrub 2011 DS 90 » $36 (1661024)
