h owever, the foundation of General de la Revolution was actually laid by Jean-Charles father, who in the 1960s had the foresight to collect the native and ancient varieties of Corsica, and create his own plot where he could care for and protect them. It's from these granite slopes that Jean-Charles sources the mix of ancient white varieties for General de la Revolution. The vines are tended individually with excessive care and all through strict biodynamic principals. In the winery, nothing is added and nothing is taken away, as Jean-Charles allows the grapes to ferment with indigenous yeasts and then ages the wine in large, neutral barrels.
