MORRELL FINE WINE AND SPIRITS cALL 800.96.WINES (800.969.4637) • vISIT uS AT MORRELLWINE.cOM • cOMPLIMENTARy DELIvERy ON ALL ORDERS OvER $100 IN Ny AND cT 41 Region Name Here The nexT Tuscan suPeRsTaR W hen Paolo de Marchi started to experiment at Isole e Olena, it was at a time when 100% pure Sangiovese wasn't widely accepted. It was because of this that he planted Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah for blending purposes. It wasn't long before he realized the potential of his Cepparllo as a mono-varietal Sangiovese, and so he created a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon under the label "Collezione de Marchi." Today, Isole e Olena's Cabernet is being called one of the best in Tuscany, with the competition charging twice the tariff. Unfortunately, the word is out, and we are already seeing prices rising. This is a wine to secure now!!! ✦ Isole e Olena Cabernet Sauvignon Collezione de Marchi 2010 $84 per bottle "...one of the great wines of what has turned out to be a great Tuscan vintage." AG 98 (1555037) nOT TO be Missed! t he new designation of Gran Selezione has caused quite a stir in Chianti Classico. At Castello di Ama, one of the great properties of the region, the decision was reached to make their first Gran Selezione a remarkable offering. Castello di Ama has made their mark in history through their single-vineyard Chianti Classico, Bellavista (A wine which sells for over $150). Yet in 2010, they decided to use all of their best single-vineyard fruit to create their first Gran Selezione. This is not to be missed. ✦ Castello di Ama Chianti Classico Gran Selezione San Lorenzo 2010 $50 per bottle "Offers a combination of power and elegance, with a racy feel. Notes of wild cherry, strawberry and rose, with leafy, woodsy flavors, permeate this driving red. The finish is long, but this needs time to shed the tannins. Well-defined from start to finish..." WS 95 (1555044) "endOWed WiTh suPeRb balance and class..." ag 94 t he name Felsina requires no introduction. A leader for both quality and value in Tuscany; Felsina has successfully earned its entry into the hearts of Italophiles around the world. The true gem of the Felsina lineup is the 100% varietal Sangiovese, Fontalloro. A top-shelf Chianti Classico Riserva in all but name, as part of this esteemed vineyard sits straddled across the Chanti Classico border. This is a perfect Brunello di Montalcino alternative with the pedigree and aging potential to match. ✦ Felsina Fontalloro 2009 $54 per bottle "...rich, broad and ample on the palate. Hints of tobacco, savory herbs, licorice and menthol all add complexity over time. The over juiciness of the fruit is nicely balanced by clean veins of underlying acidity...another wine endowed with superb balance and class." AG 94 (1555012) ITAly: TuScAny
