The news was riveting, and eye-opening. Why? Because Roberto Conterno could have bought a winery and vineyard in nearly any location around the world. Yet when the time came, he decided on a lto Piemonte and Nebbiolo. Much can be read into this decision, but one thing that seems obvious is that the writing is on the wall: a lto Piemonte is the next frontier for fans of Barolo and Barbaresco.
