W ith the likes of Frédéric m ugnier and Christophe Roumier singing their praises, it's easy to understand how this portfolio of wines is now so highly sought after. However, when looking beyond their Premier and Grand cru holdings, we also find some of the purest examples of Chambolle- m usigny villages that one can hope to experience, and no other wine captures this terroir as perfectly as the v ieilles v ignes. Hailing from a number of old-vine parcels throughout the village, the v ieilles v ignes perfectly communicates the floral bouquet, sumptuous textures and rich, pure red fruit that Chambolle is loved for, yet with a structure to carry it through maturity. What's more, Dominique believes that the 2016 may be one of the most complex examples of the v ieilles v ignes that he's ever created. It's not to be missed. ✦ Hudelot-Baillet Chambolle Musigny Vieilles Vignes 2016 W a 91 » $75 "...
