The continued success of Tesseron, amidst the larger Cognac houses, was the result of Abel's forward thinking, as he amassed a collection of rare and highly sought after eaux-de-vie, which were perfectly preserved in the crypts of an abandoned church. The Tesseron name remained highly regarded throughout France and Cognac, but Alfred Tesseron steered the brand to its modern-day surge in popularity. Alfred, the man behind Pontet-Canet in Bordeaux, longed to return to his roots in Cognac, and began experimenting in the blending of the family's revered collection of rare eaux-de-vie. The results of his love for family, traditions and Cognac can now be witnessed through the Tesseron Collection.
